Therapy for Teens

The high school years are full of transition—new academic demands, shifting friendships, increasing independence, and the growing pressure of planning for the future. For many teens, it can feel like they’re expected to have it all figured out while still learning who they are.

On top of that, today’s world brings constant comparison through social media, which can intensify anxiety, lower self-esteem, and create unrealistic expectations. It’s easy for teens to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or not “good enough.”

I offer a space where teens can slow down, feel understood, and build the tools they need to navigate these challenges with more confidence.

I work with teens who may be experiencing:

I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help teens better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and learn practical strategies to manage them. While most sessions are talk-based, I also incorporate expressive arts techniques for teens who connect with more creative approaches.

Together, we’ll work to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and help your teen feel more grounded and capable in the face of life’s challenges—both now and as they prepare for what comes next.
